	Dr. Lehrman is a board certified orthopedic surgon affiliated with Mt. Sinai Hospital and the Miami Heart Institute in Miami Beach, Florida. He was previously Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Francis Hospital and Director of its Spine Center and Back School. He is also founder of the Lehrman Back Center, an outpatient rehabilitation program for the treatment of back pain as well as general orthopedic conditions, and is the creator of Lehrman Back System (offering pre-employment screening and treatment for the corporate marketplace) and a backcare product line (Backaid exercise video, Backaid back support and Backaid computer software program). Dr. Lehrman's area of special interest is spine disorders. He has been a frequent consultant to the media on back pain for many years. His writings and interviews have appeared in such publications as Prevention, Parents, Glamour, The Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, New York Times, Health and Fitness, etc. The doctor has appeard on such radio/TV programs as Hour Magazine, Dr. Ruth, Regis Philbin, CNN, and Merv Griffin. He was medical reporter for the "AM South Florida" TV show, a local CBS affiliate. ORTHOPEDICS Orthopedics is a medical specialty which encompasses the care of any muscular and/or skeletal problem that may occur in the body (injuries and diseases to the bones and joints, and the tissues that surround them).
